Arguably the Dunk with the craziest story. Originally planned to release as a 420 exclusive sneaker back in 2020, the sneaker was pushed back indefinitely. The coughing heart at the lateral heel was intended as a nod to the marijuana culture, but the timing of this caricature was unfortunate given the pandemic's emergence in early 2020.
However, after disappearing from the limelight, the sneaker finally released in October 2021. The hype, however, remained the same, validating the sneaker's great design. The Strawberry Cough sees a mixture of red and green on the upper extending towards the midsole, something rarely seen on sneakers. Fluffy green suede on the rear-end of the sneaker is a clear nod towards the weed culture, and stretches over the red front through the green swoosh.
