Keep Marching On: The Most Anticipated Shoes of March 2021
adidas cop dunk heat hype jordan kanye nike shoes sneakers yeezy
With Q1 of 2021 nearly coming to an end, the final stretch includes some of the biggest heat of this year! This month is saturated with Jordans, Dunks and Yeezys, new silhouettes and much anticipated retros! We round up the most anticipated sneakers releasing this month, and help you cop your favorite.
1. Nike Air Jordan 1 High Retro University Blue
After a surge in resell prices of the original Nike Air Jordan 1 High UNC (released 2015) and its’ deconstructed Off-White version by Virgil Abloh in 2018, along with a growing demand for some spring-heat, the Jordan 1 High Retro University Blue is surely one of the most anticipated Jordans of this month, if not this year.
The Blue and White color-blocking combined with a contrasting black swoosh creates a clean look, accentuated by high-quality suede, instead of the usual patent leather, similar to the Nike Air Jordan 1 Light Smoke Grey released in 2018. Expect hype to explode and fitpics to flood social media as temperatures go up! If we know one thing, it’s that you definitely don’t want to miss out on these.
Release Date: 6 March 2021
The Nike Air Jordan 1 University Blue is available here for a purchase price of €449,99.
2. Adidas Yeezy 450 Cloud White
Kanye is back with a brand-new silhouette, the Adidas Yeezy 450 in the Cloud White colorway. Originally labeled as the ‘Yeezy 451’ by Yeezy Mafia back in 2020, the shoe has since been refurbished for a wider release this month. While this shoe might seem strange at first, it fits perfectly into the futuristic vision of the Kanye and Adidas collaboration, creating extraterrestrial vibes. This complements earlier Adidas Yeezy Models, such as the Adidas Yeezy 700 V3 , the Yeezy QNTM or the Adidas Yeezy 380, achieving Kanye’s idea of a pure, clean and futuristic Yeezy family of sneakers.
Release Date: 6 March 2021
The Adidas Yeezy 450 is available here for a purchase price of €379,99.
3. Nike Dunk High All-Star
After the Nike Dunk Low made one of the biggest comebacks of a silhouette we have seen to date, the widespread availability and comparatively low retail price has turned the Nike Dunk into one of the most demanded sneakers ever. This hype also generalizes onto the high-top variant, the Nike Dunk High. This specific model will be released as part of Nike’s All-Star pack. Due to the postponement of All-Star weekend, which was supposed to take place in February this year, the event, along with the release of this shoe has been postponed to early March. A combination of black patent leather and green tumbled leather with an NBA All-Star detail on the heel completes the clean look of the Nike Dunk High “All-Star”.
Release Date: 9 March 2021
4. Adidas 4D Futurecraft
Few sneakers have had a longer anticipation time than the Adidas 4D Futurecraft. After being the first Adidas model to use 4D technology, the shoe released in small quantities to friends and family years ago. The scarcity combined with the pure aesthetics and technology alone caused resell prices to go through the roof, but the shoe is finally set to release globally this month. Showing striking resemblance to the Adidas Ultra Boost 1.0, the shoe is equipped with Adidas innovative 4D technology, a novel 3D printed midsole technology implemented in many silhouettes last year, such as the Adidas Ultra 4D and the Adidas Consortium 4D. This is the perfect time to finally buy the shoe that sparked Adidas’ revival of innovation in the sneaker world.
Release Date: 19 March 2021
5. Adidas Yeezy Foam RNNR “MXT Moon Grey”
Despite heavily polarizing the opinions of sneakerheads after being provided its first look in 2019, the Yeezy Foam Runner has nevertheless profited off a shift towards comfort-wear in the recent months, with resell prices increasing similarly to the Yeezy Slide released last year. The original ‘Ararat’ colourway was released exclusively in the US in small quantities, but it seems that the EU will finally receive a release of this model later this month. Further harmonizing the futuristic Yeezy ambiance, this algae-based clog focuses on sustainable footwear, confirming Kanye West and Adidas’ glance toward the future. This colourway combines dark grey and light brown in a marble-like design, making it more salient than the original Yeezy Foam RNNR Ararat.
