After Vigril Abloh's tragic passing back in late 2021, nobody knew what would happen to the renowned Nike x Off-White collab line. However, to honor the pioneer's heritage, Nike has now released the first posthumous Nike x Off-White shoe, which was scheduled to release in late 2021.
The Nike Off-White Blazer Low Electro Green features a complete rework of the classic silhouette, redefining its core elements to enhance it to an absolutely futuristic shoe. A black leather upper features the signature distressed tongue and Electro Green overlaces (as seen on the OW x Nike Dunk Lows). The most striking detail of the upper however, are the perforated holes on both sides of the shoe, reflecting Off-White's design signature.
Even more striking is the midsole beneath: adding blue and Electro Green plastic elements to a speckled midsole, the midsole protrudes beyond the wearer's heel to create a razor-sharp rear.
Watch out not to kick anyone with your heel when wearing this sneaker. That being said, it's the epitome of Abloh's design inspiration, deconstructed to create an entirely new product. And it's done flawlessly.
